Big cheers for SRMIST women volleyball team

The fame of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has reached the skies once again on the sports front. Women volleyball team of the institution has won south zone Inter University Volleyball Women Tournament 2019-2020.

SRMIST team emerged the winner in the tournament and has qualified for taking part in All India Inter University Volleyball Women Championship which will be held at Kurukshetra University in Haryana from 16 to 20 December.

The other teams to be qualified for all India championship are MG University, Hindustan IST and Mysore University. MG University stood runners up, third place went to Hindustan IST and Mysore University won fourth place in the south zone inter university tournament.

SRMIST beat MG University with a score of 25/20,25/20,25/21 in the south zone tournament. It also won over Hindustan IST with a score of 25/14,25/17,25/19 and Mysore University with a score of 25/23,25/13,24/26,25/14 in the same tournament.
